Think carefully about the theme
Choosing a theme can often make life easier when it comes to booking and decorating a venue. Before you go in all guns blazing, think carefully about your friend, and what they like. Have they pointed out any photos they love in wedding magazines, or have they been obsessively pinning pictures of showers on Pinterest lately? Consider the tone of the wedding too. If they’ve gone for something very understated, chances are they don’t want a lavish, formal, or over the top shower. You don’t have to go crazy with a theme by ordering millions of props or table favors. Sometimes subtle is better. If you want to keep things chic and simple, for example, choosing a color scheme often works really well. For example, you could go for blush pink and gold for a traditional bride, or monochrome if you’re planning dinner for a modern bride at a swanky hotel.
